Healthy humans, healthy animals, healthy environment

The Science Day 2026 in Greifswald aims to provide information on human, animal, and environmental health! As part of Science Day, One Health research projects will be presented, and this knowledge will be integrated into people’s daily lives. The University Medical Center and scientific institutions in and around Greifswald will be represented at the event and open to discussing experiences, questions, and ideas.

The HZI will be represented by the Helmholtz Institute for One Health (HIOH) at Science Day 2026. The team will be present with a booth on Felix-Hausdorff-Straße. 

In addition, Prof. Fabian Leendertz will give a lecture at 1:00 p.m. on the topic “From Animals to Humans? – Where Zoonoses Come From and How They Spread.” The lecture will take place in the seminar room at the University Library, located at Felix-Hausdorff-Straße 10.
