Many factors contribute to the development and progression of diseases. Personalized medicine takes particular account of the different conditions and needs of individual patients or different patient groups by basing the treatment approach for a patient not only on the disease diagnosis, but also on the patient's characteristics.
In addition to improved knowledge of molecular mechanisms and signaling pathways and the associated identification of disease- and therapy-relevant genes, proteins and other molecules, progressive developments and possibilities in areas such as modern diagnostics, medical imaging, biosignal monitoring, omics technologies, availability of lifestyle data, real-time monitoring of health-relevant parameters and advances in information technology and artificial intelligence are increasingly helping to identify a patient's specific characteristics and draw conclusions for the best possible treatment approach.
The approaches being researched and developed by scientists and companies are just as diverse as the scope of personalized medicine in terms of medical specialties and methods alone. As part of this year's Life Science Day, we would like to explore various areas of personalized medicine with you and look at the challenges as well as innovative ideas and technologies. We cordially invite you to Hannover on June 3, 2025 at the Professional Hub Hannover.
You can look forward to inspiration from research and practice, start-up pitches, an accompanying exhibition and time for networking.
