Governance and Organizational Development

The department Governance & Organizational Development (GO) is responsible for the sustainable and innovative development of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI). At the same time, it ensures compliance with legal requirements within and outside the organization.

The GO department develops efficient and effective organizational structures and advises on these. This includes the description and digitalization of central processes and procedures. The GO department processes and advises on legal and contractual issues. It ensures compliance and safeguards against risks. The GO department is also responsible for coordinating reporting on risks, compliance and governance. GO develops and controls sustainability management at the HZI and works closely with internal and external stakeholders. It develops innovative change projects and communicates these through participation-oriented dialog and exchange formats.

The officers responsible for anti-corruption and information security are based in the GO department.
