The Helmholtz Institute for RNA-based Infection Research (HIRI) is the first institution of its kind in the world to combine research on ribonucleic acids (RNA) with infection biology. The HIRI, a site of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) in cooperation with the Julius Maximilian University of Würzburg (JMU), is getting a modern new building with more than 4,700 m2 of floor space on the Würzburg Medical Campus. The roofing ceremony for the new building will take place on September 24, 2025.
