HZI presents itself at the Landesmeile on Kurt-Schumacher-Straße

The Lion City of Braunschweig will host the 39th Lower Saxony Day on the weekend of June 12-14, 2026. This major event takes place every two years in different cities in Lower Saxony.

From youth culture to tradition and from sport to science: at the Day of Lower Saxony in Brunswick from June 12 to 14, visitors can get to know different facets of the federal state on ten different theme miles. Numerous associations, companies and institutions will be presenting themselves at their stands with hands-on activities, demonstrations and information material.

The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research is represented at the Landesmeile on Kurt-Schumacher-Straße at the booth of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture (MWK). Inspired by the Science Year 2026 – Medicine of the Future, we present exciting exhibits offering insights into drug research, show how we are conducting research today for the health of tomorrow, and offer hands-on activities for the whole family.

Opening times of the theme miles

  • Friday, June 12, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Sunday, June 14, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
