The Department of Epidemiology (acting head Dr. Berit Lange) at the HZI is looking for a research assistant with a medical background for the INFRALINK project.

The project aims to develop a sustainable platform for communication and research in the field of epidemic infectious diseases, enabling data-based reporting, crisis communication and rapid studies during epidemics through a consortium of health authorities, clinics and research institutions. It conducts clinical and population-based epidemiological studies (e.g. https://hzi-c19-antikoerperstudie.de/; www.nako.de), performs evidence synthesis and meta-analyses (www.serohub.net) and investigates the dynamics of respiratory infectious diseases within large modelling consortia (e.g. www.respinow.de, monid.net/). With several hundred employees, the health authorities in Cologne and Frankfurt are among the largest health authorities in multicultural cities in Germany. In Frankfurt, employees are responsible for health protection at the largest international airport.
