The CSSB in Hamburg is looking for a student assistant (m/f/d) to support the IT department.

The IT Department of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) is looking for a Student Assistant (m/f/d) with immediate effect. You will get to know the processes in the IT area at the Centre for Structural Systems Biology (CSSB), one of the HZI sites, and support the RZ on site.

Tasks
  • Communication with users in German and English (1st level support)
  • Communication between the data centre and users
  • Ticket creation for user questions
  • Basic installation, testing and release of computers according to specifications
  • Assistance with general Windows problems (according to level of knowledge)
  • Assistance with home office (VPN problems)
  • Help with software installation via remote connection
  • Creation of step-by-step instructions
  • Maintenance of clients and creation of test reports
Prerequisites

We are looking for a student assistant who enjoys the activities described.

  • Enrolled student of a degree programme with (desirable) or without IT reference
  • Ability to communicate calmly and patiently
  • Confident handling of MS Office programmes (especially Excel and Word)
  • Good written and spoken German and English skills
  • The workload is a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 50 hours per month.

Minimum 30 and maximum 50 hours per month, by arrangement
