The Department IVON headed by Prof Josef Penninger is looking for a technical assistant (BTA, CTA) to start as soon as possible.

As a member of the Helmholtz Association, the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, based in Braunschweig, conducts top-level research in the field of infectious diseases. Our scientists develop novel methods and strategies to fight infectious diseases faster and more effectively. Our common goal is to develop novel approaches for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of infectious diseases. Our research focuses on bacterial and viral pathogens, their interaction with the human immune system and new effective substances and vaccines.

Our research group is dedicated to organoid-based research that provides important insights into the functioning of human organs in health and disease. We place particular emphasis on the crucial role of the immune system in all organs. By using organoids, we overcome the limitations of conventional cultures or animal models and create realistic representations of human tissues. This enables a deeper understanding of organ function and disease and ultimately improves therapeutic efficacy. For this purpose, we are looking for a qualified technician to support us in setting up our department.

We are looking for a qualified person to join our team and provide crucial support and expertise in various tasks essential to the day-to-day running of our laboratory. Your responsibilities will include the management and ordering of laboratory consumables and chemicals as well as ensuring the smooth functioning of our research environment.
