Rho GTPases regulate phagocytosis, encapsulation and migration in Drosophila circulating immunosurveillance cells.
Michael Williams shares interest with many of us in the immune system and regulation of various aspects of cellular immunity by Rho-GTPases.
Moreover, he has recently been involved in publication of the first beetle sequence (Nature 452(7190):949-55), and conducted a screen for genes involved in the Drosophila anti-parasitoid response, so I think his work should be of interest to many of us.
Michael will be at the HZI all day on Tuesday, so in case you are interested to talk to him in person, please let me know so that I can make a schedule.
Looking forward to meeting you at the seminar!
