I am a physicist by education: holding BSc from Zanjan University,
and MSc from Institute for Advanced Studies in Basic Sciences (IASBS),
Zanjan, Iran. I started my PhD in the Systems Immunology group,
at Frankfurt Institute for Advanced Studies (FIAS) on that time,
in May 2008. After my PhD I continue as post-doctoral researcher
at the Systems Immunology (SIMM) department, in HZI now.
My research focuses on the development of agent-based models,
based on the experimental data, representing complex biological
systems. I am currently working on two main topics:
1- Insulin Granule Dynamics in Pancreatic Beta-cells
2- Mechanisms of Microbial Biofilm Development
Moreover, I have developed a robust in-silico model for 3D reconstruction of
(beta-) cell morphology from semi-2D electron micro-graphs.
