Exploiting the potential of natural compounds: myxobacteria as source for leads, tools and therapeutics in cancer research, Project: (Bio)Synthese of chondramides and related cyclodepsipeptide
This project in the framework of a DFG financed research group between LMU and TU Munich and Saarland University as well as HIPS analyses in a multidisciplinary fashion myxobacterial secondary metabolites exhibiting potential application in cancer therapy. Our work aims at the identification, structural elucidation, chemical and biotechnological synthesis, identification of biological targets and analysis of pharmacological profile as well as potential application in animal models of such natural products.
