Jürgen Wehland Symposium NoRDI VI

Nordi VI-Image-v1

and the Jürgen Wehland Award Ceremony

NoRDI VI will focus on "Barriers in Infection". Embedded in the scientific programme is the Jürgen Wehland Award ceremony for young scientists in infection research. The ceremony takes place for the sixth time in honourable remembrance of the former Scientific Director of the HZI.

The “North Regio Day on Infection” (NoRDI) was established in 2010 as a central event and meeting place for scientists from universities and research institutes of the northern region of Germany to exchange research results and recent technical developments as well as to discuss important questions and future tasks in different fields of infection biology. The meeting is of great interest for junior scientists wishing an update on the state-of-the-art knowledge in the field of bacterial and viral pathogenesis. It will give them the chance to discuss their research results with established scientists of the field.

The topic of NoRDI VI will be "Barriers in Infection”.

A host of internationally renowned speakers has kindly accepted our invitations, and we are looking forward to an exceptionally strong scientific programme and numerous opportunities for discussion.

NoRDI is coordinated by the Robert Koch Institute, the TU Braunschweig, the TWINCORE, the Hannover Medical School and the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research.

We would like to invite you to attend the meeting and contribute to the scientific exchange with the speakers and with audience members.

Recognized by the Medical Chamber of Lower Saxony

Nordi has been recognized as an advanced training course by the Medical Chamber of Lower Saxony. Participating in the symposium will be rewarded according to the regulations of the organization.

Certificates of attendance will be available for the participants at the time of accreditation. More detailed information about the process is available on the website of the Medical Chamber of Lower Saxony www.aekn.de.
