Ecology, Virulence and Risk Assessment

legionella_symposium_2016_beitragsbild.png

This Symposium focuses on current research on the ecology and virulence of Legionella populations in freshwater systems and their inherent risk. The Symposium is supported by the DFG (German Research Foundation) in the frame of an international project on Legionella ecology and virulence coordinated by the HZI.

  • Overview

A set of internationally renown speakers has kindly accepted our invitations, and we are looking forward to an exceptionally strong scientific program on the seven topics listed in the program (ecology, genomics, evolution, genotyping, host-pathogen interactions, virulence assessment, diagnostics, surveillance and risk assessment) and numerous opportunities for discussion.

    Abstracts:

Abstracts can be submitted until 31 July. Only abstracts on the main topics given in the program will be considered. Primarily, only poster presentations are expected that will be selected according to their relevance to these topics.
