Inaugural mini symposium
Exploitation of fungi in the –omics era, with special emphasis to their biodiversity, ecology, and secondary metabolites
„Inaugural mini symposium“ on the event of the introduction of basic and applied mycology to the campus of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research, Braunschweig
On the event of the new appointment of Marc Stadler as Head of the department „Microbial Drugs“ at the Helmholtz-Centre for Infection Research, we have arranged a mini-symposium on various topics of basic and applied mycology. Internationally renowned experts will present their views and results on various topics of translational research, aimed at the utilisation of biodiversity data, knowledge from chemical ecology, and –omics techniques to discover novel, useful fungal organisms and metabolites.
Options for the future exploitation on fungi as sources for new lead compounds in anti-infective research and other biotechnological applications in an international, interdisciplinary framework will be illustrated.
