In 2016 the FameLab will be taking place in Germany for the sixth time. For the first time the preliminary event for Lower Saxony and Northern Germany will take place in Braunschweig. On 14 April 2016 the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research will provide a stage for young scientists presenting their research in an engaging way within three minutes.


FameLab is
a competition for young scientists and public platform for communicating science.

Participating is possible
for all scientists over 21 who work in STEM subjects and are currently living in Germany.

The rules:
Participants have three minutes to present their topic to a jury and the audience in an interesting and entertaining way. All tools are allowed as long as they can be carried on stage by the participant.

The winner
of the preliminary event receives a media training worth 1600 € and get to participate in the German finals. The national winner will represent Germany at the international Cheltenham Science Festival.
