HDDC 2021: Virtual Helmholtz Drug Discovery Conference

HDDC2020.png

Drug researchers at the Helmholtz Association launched the Helmholtz Drug Discovery Conference (HDDC) series a few years ago. The conferences provide a platform for 'Academic Drug Discovery' with a strong focus on the underlying science.

We want to devote two afternoons (mornings in the US) on two of today’s hottest topics in drug discovery:

'Proteolysis-targeting chimeras (PROTACs) - a new drug discovery paradigm?' and
'Novel treatment options against SARS-CoV-2'

The conference provides a stimulating platform to discuss the state of the art in drug discovery with academic experts and scientists from biotech and pharmaceutical industries. In order to foster interaction and knowledge gain in the field, we are pleased to welcome an exceptional group of internationally renowned speakers. Due to the pandemic situation we decided to organize the HDDC 2021 in a virtual and shortened format.

The conference is free of charge.

Hosted by:

  • Prof. Dr. Mark Brönstrup (HZI) - Chemical Biology
  • Prof. Dr. Anna K. H. Hirsch (HIPS) - Drug Design and Optimization
  • Dr. Kamyar Hadian (HMGU) - Molecular Toxicology and Pharmacology
