28. Hans Herloff Inhoffen Lecture and PhD Awards
In memory of the chemist Prof. Hans Herloff Inhoffen, who died in 1992, the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research (HZI) and the Technical University (TU) Braunschweig annually organize the Inhoffen lecture and award the Inhoffen Medal since 1994. The prize is endowed with 5000 Euros. The Inhoffen Medal is one of the most prestigious German prizes within the area of natural compound chemistry.

Train
Braunschweig Central Station has got two Intercity-Express-Lines, which are connecting Berlin-Braunschweig-Göttingen-Fulda-Frankfurt-Mannheim.
Two other Intercity-Lines are in direction to Leipzig, Halle, Magdeburg and Hannover, Bremen, Oldenburg, Bielefeld, Wuppertal and Köln.

Bus or Tram
Bus line 421 or Tram line 1 from central station to stop "Stöckheimer Markt". After getting off at Stöckheimer Markt, either walk longer to Inhoffenstraße or continue by bus in the direction of Wolfenbüttel Linden, get off at Senefelderstraße, and walk the remaining short distance to Inhoffenstraße. Walking from Stöckheimer Markt, turn left into "Mascheroder Weg" and after 500m turn right into "Inhoffenstraße".

Airplane
Hannover Airport is about 60 minutes away from Braunschweig (60km). You can hourly take a train in direction of Braunschweig.
From the International Airport Frankfurt you can reach Braunschweig in 180 minutes by train and it's about 350km away.
Berlin's Airports Schönefeld and Tegel are 120 minutes away from Braunschweig (230km). A train in direction of Braunschweig leaves every hour.
