Histologie ist die Lehre von den Geweben und Pathologie – im weiteren Sinn – die Lehre von Krankheiten und ihren Ursachen. Die Plattform Mauspathologie ist spezialisiert auf die Herstellung von histologischen Schnittpräparaten und deren pathologischer Auswertung - speziell von Mausgeweben. Diese Auswertungen helfen den Forschern, den Zusammenhang zwischen Gewebeveränderungen und den Infektionskrankheiten zu erarbeiten.
