Peptide synthesis

Peptides, which are small protein subunits, are the gateway to numerous biological functions. Some peptides act as hormones, others as mediators of inflammation. Others again are antibacterial or antiviral. Together this large group of small proteinlike structures is a promising tool for infection researchers, and the platform Peptide Synthesis generates these molecules by chemical synthesis. Bound to supports our scientists use them in screening assays.

„For the successfull design of usefull arrays a deep understanding of the biological problem is essential. This is obtained by an intense exchange and close collaboration with our users.“

More about the Service Unit

Our Research

Either on glas plates or on cellulose membranes: The speciality of  the scientists in the platform Peptide Synthesis is the systematic assembly and preparation of peptides for infection research – with methods that are constantly updated.
