Centre of Experimental and Clinical Research: Twincore

The Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research and the Medical University Hanover (MHH) have decided to establish a Centre for Experimental and Clinical Infection Research called Twincore where basic researchers and clinicians will closely work together under the same roof. Twincore will combine the basic research in infection biology at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research with the expertise at the MHH in clinical infection research. For Germany as a whole, this represents a new role model of a co-operation between hospitals and basic research in the area of infectious diseases.
