PhD Initiative

Every year, some 30 Ph.D. candidates complete their doctoral theses at the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research. In 2002, we founded the doctorate initiative, "DO IT". The aim of the initiative is to represent the interests of Ph.D. candidates within the center and to give extra support to new doctoral candidates at the institute. Furthermore, "DO IT" networks with the doctorate representatives at other Helmholtz centers. This network, known as "Helmholtz Juniors", can be used by you to discuss inter-center improvements for Ph.D. training and to introduce proposals for the training of young researchers within the Helmholtz Association.
