Helmholtz Graduate School for Infection Research
The Helmholtz International Graduate School for Infection Research (HZI Graduate School) provides an innovative intensive structured PhD programme within the field of Infection Research.
Implemented at the campus of the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research in Braunschweig together with their partner universities the HZI Graduate School has created an electrifying environment where young researchers are stimulated to exchange knowledge with their colleagues and with peers and leading scientists from around the world. Besides intensive scientific training the young researchers have the possibility to train their soft skills abilities and improve their interdisciplinary knowledge to be prepared for the job market.
We invite highly motivated applicants
PhD students will have the unique opportunity to undertake a PhD within an electrifying atmosphere with the focus on Infection Research and related fields (Immunology, Microbiology, Virology, Cell Biology, Chemical Biology, Medical Chemistry, Structural Biology, Systems Immunology, Molecular Biology, Mammalian Genetics). As well as working on a three-year research project PhD students can select lectures and seminars, laboratory and soft-skills courses, congresses, symposia and summer schools. The program is well supported by a network of PhD students and supervisors. PhD students will finish the program as highly qualified scientists competitive for the job market. The three-year program is taught in English.
- A Master´s degree (or equivalent)
